Yes, it initially tried to pass me in the on coming lane, and headed right towards a 3rd gen Tacoma, when at the last second it caught some death wobble and veered directly behind me and into the ditch.

Well at a minimum, I need new brake shoes, brake cylinder and backing plate. If you're not too attached to one of those half shafts, I'd be bout it. Just need to figure out what you want for it and a shipping/twexpress route.

No rush, I've got transportation to/from work arranged with a coworker that lives close by, but it is my daily ATM. I had planned to take the kid to the dozer day event at Puyallup fair grounds Saturday, but that won't be happening now. If I can't get my hands on that complete axle I'll let you know.

Getting your Tacoma ducked by a jeep owner is like getting hit on by a guy drinking bud light at the bar. Flattering but it still makes me uncomfortable

#youarenotalone did the same thing on my way back from Colorado a couple weeks ago.
User error, swapped in some of those extended thread lug nuts right before the trip, not checking to see if they were the right length.
The extended thread bottomed out on the flange before tightening on the lug taper.
Lasted a week of abuse on the trip there/trails there, finally gave out on the way home. Road side fixed it, and found the same issue on the other side so wasn't too far away from the other side letting go. Pretty wild ride, tire got sucked up into the bedside at 80mph, launched the rear of the truck in the air sideways and sent the tire into the oncoming lane. Thankfully it was 6am so there was no traffic on the road.
Peeled the bedside up pretty good, but just kicked the bedside back in since i already toasted it wheeling haha

The tallest sailboat ever built is currently at Elliot Bay Marina. At 290' tall it absolutely dwarfs everything around it. It's even taller than the cruise ship parked next door

    :woot:

Ordered the TG kit yesterday. I took one look at my gear oil soaked and mangled drum back plate and said "nope, not today, not tomorrow, never again."

Then I went down a rabbit hole of what it would take to convert to a t4r tube end, press on a t4r hub, and then run t4r calipers and rotors. :sawzall::welder::spy:

A lot more work than swapping in a D44 out of a Honda Pasport with factory disc brakes.

A Honda wut? I'm having a hard time reading the sarcasm but Im picking up what you're putting down. I did end up going down a d60 super duty rabbit hole also, quite possibly at the same time.. :anonymous:

Honda Pasport and Isuzu Rodeo have a narrow D44 with factory disc brakes. I swapped one into my 96’. Lol been a minute since I’ve been under there. I should probably remove that spare tire:rofl:

Bad day yesterday, as I was getting onto I-5 near downtown Seattle, heard a loud noise in the engine compartment. Had to make it another 3-4 miles to get off the interstate.

    Pieces of my radiator fan...
    AJFCJaU3P6WuTh5B4s7e8-SNj0PGfChSkIoI70E9_1ec93edeed3490b883666f184990f3a338543a43.jpg

Radiator fan decided to disintegrate then wrecked the radiator plus some power steering lines. I'm getting an all-new radiator installed plus fixing the power steering reservoir and connections.

That sucks! But thankfully it didn’t do that while you were out in the middle of nowhere. Hopefully the tow and service bill wasn’t too bad.

Fortunately, I had returned from camping the day before this happened. My extended warranty's roadside service covered the tow. Hopefully, my extended warranty will also cover this work. I'll find out.
