It's fun if you know what you are getting into. Most off 97 is closed for snowmobiling now. Just got to the KOA.

Monster Jam at the Tacoma Dome this weekend. I've never been before tonight. It's a blast for sure.

I haven’t been since 2013. It’s fun to let the inner kid out once and awhile.

Hi everyone. I was told to post here which makes sense now. But can someone recommend a shop in the Seattle area that will install mods that I purchased somewhere else and bring in? I'm looking to install KTJO power folding mirrors. Thanks. And stay warm and safe out there!

@Cuffs do you drive a stockish red 3rd gen DCLB? I saw one at 1:00 heading north bound I/5 with what looked like AZ plates.

AZ tag yes. I see the correction so… yea. We’re in Caldwell ID this eve. Attempting the corner of Oregon on 84 tomorrow…

the taco is staying in AZ for a bit longer before moving up.

And she’s been a gem to drive these two days and it might be 23° in Caldwell, but the car wash was open, so Mina got a bath!
    can’t win em all.

We are starting to warm back up. It was sunny and high 20’s today with no wind. Basically balmy. When I met up with @Dagralph was wearing flip flops and no socks. He’s from Canada so I don’t think things like frostbite really bother him.

Not sure if it’ll affect your route, but I drove on I-5 and 84 today in Portland. Both were mostly clear, with snow on the shoulders, some snow between lanes, and a few slick spots. Easy going. Just watch out for the yahoos who insist on going too fast for conditions.

    Well that was fun o_O

Northern NV was a mess, stopped in Wells for the first night. Within an hour of checking into our room, the winds started howling like I’ve never heard.
Opted for a later departure to give the sun and traffic time to work on the road surfaces.

second day was Wells to Caldwell ID. There was a couple spots that were slowing but nothing of great concern. Made good time.
This morning, Caldwell to Renton. I had some concerns watching the DOT cams for OR and WA but what they showed vs what was on the ground didn’t feel the same. There were some spots that it was one lane (second lane covered in ice) but everyone was playing the same game and gave everyone their space. I was pleasantly surprised that it was dry pavement for the most part, even over that sketch section of switches just east of Pendleton.

uneventful Pendleton to Ellensburg. 90 only had a couple spots of ice that covered almost all the lanes. Otherwise one full lane clear and dry. DOT was on the ball marking lane closures for the idiots who didn’t manage to make it through unscathed. I do hope all those that crashed are ok. (I did see a Taco rubber side up in OR this morning :()

temps immediately went up when we crossed the summit. So did traffic volume. Did EVERYone in Seattle go skiing today?? Holy traffic jam Batman it was like a major city rush hour out there.

I want to thank all y’all for the Intell. We leave Renton in the morning for Bellingham area. Which I hear has threat of 5” of snow tomorrow.

Welcome to Washington…I’m glad that you made it through without incident. Good luck tomorrow. The weather report has updated multiple times. Wednesday now looks like the greatest chance of precipitation. But it is NW Washington so give it 15 minutes and it will change. Be safe!

Anyone have a favorite Toyota Service department (coming from Covington)? Usually not a fan of dealerships, but hoping for a shot at a warranty here.

FYI I just saw on instagram that one of the tech's from Just Differentials (Nitro Gear) took over their old shop space and started a new business Money Pit 4x4 in Cashmere. Might be a new go to spot for local regears. I'm glad to see something back in that shop after Nitro went down the shitter. Sad cause I had such a great experience with them years ago.

Yup I just noticed this last night on Instagram as well. They appear to be doing regears there still.
