Yeah I know the way going into O'Toole Cr. I must be confusing it with some other road in the area, but I swear you couldn't go much further past the gravel pit where the orange stops. I remember wrapping around the side of Iron Mtn. Maybe I just turned back since I couldn't connect into 17. Been a while since I've explored down there, I should go do some more soon.

I was up 1775 on the 4th watching the fireworks down below. I didn’t go past the last cut you could look over the valley. Max went all the way to the end of 1775 back in June looking for a snow patch to fill his cooler with before heading to Little Gee Lake.

I should make a trip out to Gee Lake, I've heard it's an absolute female dog to get to but the fishing is great. And heading down that way is always fun. I was fishing Little Gee 2 years ago when there was a guy catching & surveying for WA DNR. He said DNR was potentially thinking of putting in tiger trout to clear out all the brookies.

Max camped at little Gee again last Tuesday and said the bugs weren’t that bad yet. I was up there last August and the Deer Flys were packing steak knives. I swear there were taking chunks of flesh with them every bite.

for any gear heads here. I was at Pacific yesterday for the NHRA semi finals and finals. We were in the Launch Club standing area, right next to the cars at the line. This is the Top Fuel final run. Brittany Force broke the NHRA speed record in her run right before this. But then had a shutdown in this one. bummer.

my first time seeing this in person. I knew it was going to be loud but I didn't know about the high air pressure hitting your chest like a bomb went off right next to you. wow!

Duders, too cool! I went for the first time the other year. The top fuel rigs made my vision blurry from the reverberations. Truly a wild experience to be in person.

We're lucky we're in the PNW, for some reason shitty ass Pacific Raceways (my personal favorite racetrack) is host to many records. The 1/4m will never be broken, they don't race that anymore, but Pacific holds that record too

are you talking about how NHRA is now doing 1000 feet instead of a true 1/4 mile?

Yeah. That 300' difference is big difference, especially at those speeds. Can you imagine if they got 30% faster with 30% more room? 400mph runs. Good lord

It's tough tracking down times, but I'm 99% sure the NHRA record is at Pacific in the true 1/4 mile

There’s a lot up in that area to check out. FS 1775, Little and Big Gee lakes, Segelson pass, Finney Creek. Branches and things probably will touch your truck.

When i was a kid I was the only one of my siblings that liked the drags and my dad loves them so just him and I would go. This was back when they had the nhra here in Spokane. He works get us pit passes and we works sit it there all weekend. I got to see a lot of the greats and 8 believe what was the first jet car to run on the circuit. That car works shake your soul. I'm really hoping we get them back before he dies so I can take him.

I hear the drags every year from my house and this year seemed louder than in the past. I measured on google maps and I'm just over 3.27 miles away in a straight line. I can't imagine how loud they would be right next to them like that. I need to go next year.

So what’s everyone running for the valve stacks on each side? Going to re-valve soon, and just looking to see what anyone else is running
