I am coming to think that the master install kit is needed for not reason other than the fact that my truck already has 125k miles on it and I might as well replace the bearings. I am not making the decision solely on the price. There are plenty of people that have gone with either the 4.11 or 4.56 with 33's. They say the 4.11 will bring the truck back to an OEM feel and the 4.56 will give it most torque. If I could save a few hundred by getting the 4.11s vs the 4.56 then I would be doing that but it doesn't look like there will be any difference in price so I would probably go with the 4.56. I am thinking that because of, not only the tire size, all of the weight I have and will be adding plus I would like to be able to tow easier.

    This is from another thread:

Save the cvs... I might be interested in some back ups and I'm sure others will be too. Should text Ben to see if he wants extra

Sorry for the crappy picture and not sure who this is, but spotted at the Haggens Grocery store in Snohomish around 2:30 I think, may have been a little earlier. Nice truck!

What would people think of having a meet/greet kind of bbq out in the sticks? Haven't had any meets lately so just thought of something to do.

How does it drive with the 315's and 4.88? I have 285's and am trying to decide whether to go with 4.11 or 4.56.

Kolt, if you frequently have heavy loads, or pull a trailer with some weight to it, get the 4.56. If you aren't running heavy all that much, and it is more of a daily driver, do the 4.11.

It is my daily driver but I do have a trailer that I will be hauling stuff with. That is why it's kind of a toss up in my opinion.

On a daily basis, no, I do not haul. I just drive it somewhat normally (a little lead footed).

Eventually I will probably have a boat and I have a heavy duty trailer that I got for free and will be reconditioning.

People say that 4.11 are good for 33" and 4.56 are good for 35". I have never driven a Tacoma except mine so I don't know what 4.11 and 4.56 feel like. He is saying he likes the 4.88 with 35" so it is making me feel like 4.56 wouldn't be so bad.

It's a little over geared but I like the torque it gives. It's not cheap on gas by any means, it's better than when I had 35s and stock gears though. Eventually this is just going to be my play truck but for now it's my DD.

I would say the same of my setup. It's overgeared with the 4.88's, my speedo fast reading 67 gauge at actual 60mph speed gps. I love the torque and all around driving it affords me, but it dose suffer in fuel mileage.
Since your going to be towing with it, I would recommend the 4.56's.
