I can vouch for JDAM, he did make it up despite a couple hairy moments, but the camera wasn't rolling! That was a gnarly little mud hill, still kicking myself for not attempting it though.

Was that the hill at the very top of the trail?

yeah Joe I remember you making it up last time we were there. This time the ruts were full of water though. I had to do it because when I was with you I took the bypass and didn't want to do that again.

edit: you could try to carry more momentum up the hill but there is that big boulder in the middle when you get to the top. Don't want to hit that and break something way up at the top of the trail!

when we stopped at the lake on the way out it was tons of fun. After crawling all weekend it great to go fast over dry lake bed. I can see why people like to drive fast in the desert.

That was a perfect way to top off the trip. Almost got my self stuck in the sand on the way out, wanted to see if a peerunner could do it... Nope.

That sounds fun, think I'm going to crank the coilovers up just a little more (lower the front end) so I can handle the high speed stuff better.
    Northwestaco, you're 4x4 tho yeah?

Edit, yeah you are, must've been testing capabilities in 2wd?

Yup. Sunk in quite a bit but luckily got it in 4wd before I lost to much momentum. Would have needed Jarrad to come tow me out haha

Not sure what your definition of "high speed trails" are but we were all in 4 low. Maybe 2 or 3 mph sometimes a little faster depending on the section.

I was just more wondering if you guys where hauling ass down these roads cus that's not something I do anymore due to my sas. I'm to tall to try and corner at high speeds. But that answered my questions. Even though I didn't see anything super difficult for the pics you guys posted it still looks like a fun trek. My truck is also not a fan of free way driving but it can be done. Just looking forward to meeting up with you guys and doing some stuff like this..

Edit: hopping my buddy will sell me his 42 inch pitbull rockers this winter and if that happens then no freeway driving will happen at all. those things don't do well at high speeds.

naw, we werent hauling ass or anything, literally in Low-4 and First gear the whole way down on the actual trail, then we went to 2wd and road the forest road back to the main road. You should for sure bring that beast out with us next time.
