corrosion-x is really good. Spray it on like spray paint but its a thick waxy like substance.

I haven't heard of salt being used anywhere in WA. Lots of sand though. I am ready for snow.

spent the weekend helping my friend install a Trail Gear bumper and Warn winch on his first gen 4-Runner. We didn't have time to do my bumper and winch but we'll pick that up next weekend.

Yes they use salt and sand, and some other corrosive fluid, heard it be called cow piss but it's gotta be something else. I've been stuck behind both the salt trucks and sand trucks every winter on hwy97, 82 and I-90. May check out that corrosion x

the corrosion x stuff isn't a clear liquid, but it does a really good job of keeping everything from rusting and corroding. It is a brownish color

Not unless your referring to the trekker. Separating gens by solid or ifs for the '84/'89 is kind of splitting hairs. I'd love an '85, but the body style is the same.

I'm in the RTT game now! It's a used one but it'll do for now. The guy who i bought it from had a badass FJ he drove down to Cabo San Lucas and back this summer.

Im going by body style more than anything. I know that 4runner in the pic is a second gen runner cuz the trekker doesn't count it was never named a 4runner. as far as the pickups go there are 3 gens and that's what I was getting at.

Am I the only person who works? Haha srs

Well off to take out the overhead console, hoping to find my rattle fix in there, maybe the harness is flopping up there and driving me nuts

Edit: sure enough there was a loose harness and plug up there, wrapped it up and we'll see if it's all good tomorrow. 2 minute fix and the dealer wouldn't touch it because of my IMMRYO mirror bracket bs

Here's mine after paint. I still need to add the fender molding and the factory decals. I'm looking for a set of Limited 4runner wheels to wrap 255/85 tires on and install my rebuilt 4.88 diffs. It's coming together, though not as cool as my last one.
