I love an adventure, and it looks like you guys had one hell of one! The only reason I didn't go is because this is what I thought Evans had in store. Sad I missed it!

Why did Eric have so much trouble in the snow, compared to everyone else?

Besides him rolling (too much left) he probably had the easiest time out of us all until we hit snow. He's locked in the rear, 40% tread and don't weigh nothin so I pulled him around a lot....

Boy - whadda trip. Started off at the staging area as snow started falling. After the first few turns (all of which needed a spotter) I was thinking, "All right! We got ourselves a winner of a wheeling trip."

We finally got off the mountain at about 4AM. About 2 minutes after you guys left and I was finishing airing up my last tire, a police vehicle drives by and stops when he sees me. He says, "Are you the Toyota stuck on the mountain?" I explained to him that we were with a group of Toyota people who were stuck on the mountain but that we all got out safely a few moments ago and everybody is heading home, no reception so couldn't call, etc." He was pretty cool - said he was heading up to verify the story before sending help. He mentioned that Alex's GF had called "repeatedly" and had a list of everybody that went on the trip. Anyways, after a couple minutes he took off.

Thanks everybody for the text messages and offers of assistance - we have a great group of people on TW and it was appreciated! :headbang:

I'm sure most people were busy going to work and catching up on sleep yesterday but here are a couple observations:
    • Mike is a fantastic spotter.
    • Letting the car idle for 7 hours only burns up a quarter tank of gas.
    • Kudos to myself for bringing an impact driver. I KNEW that sucker would come in handy someday.
    • A lunchbox locker didn't work as well in the snow.
    • I think every piece of recovery gear in my bag got used multiple times.
    • Thanks for organizing Ben!
I got a new TPMS on my busted tire yesterday and pressure washed the dirt. Now to admire the truck's new dents today :D

Hey Tallon, I found one of your bumper shackles. Only one of them though - not sure where the other one is.

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
    x2.

I didn't roll into my driveway until 7:00am. I hope Moe and Will had good day at work (you crazy bastards) :p

I had a great trip, even with all the new damage. We can all say we conquered Evans in some pretty rough conditions.

It was awesome to see our local TW group pull together to help each-other out some pretty hairy situations. Every piece of my recovery gear got used to the fullest extent, and I think everyone walked away with some good knowledge and experience under their belt.

I am really happy we were all able to safely drive home. And thanks to Josh, Troy, and Jake for your concern and willingness to step-up to help us out.

Pics and more to come soon, I still have to clean my truck and assess the damage after work today.

We did 311 and 520. The snow made it pretty interesting.

I'd like to go back next season when it's more dry and do the other half (519 & 198)

Wow, did you guys do 311A or take the hard section too? 520 is an interesting trail... I thought I recognized the spot where eric flopped. Was that just after the first hard-right cut back? Where the logs also still across the trail near the same spot that would normally go to the 197/198 trails?
