Ok, that shit didn't work. Not enough pull to get it to budge much. And my tools I have suck. Anyone available to pick up a spanner? Hopefully it'll fit my set up

Nice! I gave my coilovers a try this morning. Didn't get far. I'm done until I get or find a spanner that fits them.

I might go to HF or HD and see if they have some spanner wrenches.

Will be nice to have them waiting for when I get home! O and if anyone wants my old ones....only be ~3k miles on them! (basically from WA to San Diego and back)

You can but the actual cost makes it a bit of a wash. The cost to upgrade and pay shipping makes it cost about 1k. (slightly less). I figure I can sell my old ones for close to that and have brand new shocks instead of slightly used with upgrades :)

plus a quick change out vs waiting 3 weeks :)

Along that line, has anyone been reading about ADS suspension? I wasn't able to get price quotes from them today, but they are my main competition against a set of King from DSM.

Ive heard good things about them but honestly don't know anything about them either. People seem to like them though. A quick search really didn't provide any info either

So my hunt for tires begins. Discount Tires is having a 100 off $ purchase via their ebay store (free shipping!) So been looking at tires. For some reason I am pretty set on the Nitto Terra Grappler in 285/75/R16. But I also don't know why im set on that either other than they seem to have good reviews! But the deal I can buy 4 tires for ~650 bucks....sort of a buy 4 get 1 free (for the spare). I still haven't decided on a rim yet either

    Any thoughts?

Haven't heard many reviews on those, I know Duratracs are one of the highest reviewed tires that Discount has and I've heard nothing but good things about them.

Ive looked briefly at those. About the same price as the Nitto's (well 100 more). The Nitto's have a higher speed rating and come in load range D and E so I could go with the D and save a bit of weight. The Duratracs seems to only come in load E

My knowledge is a bit dated, but Nittos had a poor performance on traction.
Duratracs were a great performer from what the community has stated. I've heard they wear fast on larger vehicles, but are well suited for the Tacos. They may have changed the compound from the early years. Contact Mitch for more details, he's been on Duratracs for a long time now.
