The 19th is the one weekend where I have something firmly set. I haven't planned other weekends just yet.

I might be in for the 20th. I will know closer to that date how my schedule/funds look.

I'd like to do some snow exploring...maybe Cap. Forest or the Olympics.

We went on a snow run with the NWOS group a couple days ago, but it was kind of lackluster and some of the guys were reluctant to keep going in the snow. It was a cool area though, FS23 off Skookumchuck.

Doing a last minute thing tomorrow.

    Capitol Forest
Going to do some target shooting and maybe try driving to the peak afterwards
Meet at West Olympia Top Foods, 9AM this sunday
Plan will be to roll in the Rock Candy entrance and head out to the west end. Theres a good gun pit at a dead end, far from typical traffic. From there we will drive down to the porter creek campground and make our way towards the peak - time and conditions permitting. You may expect snow

Notice - capitol forest is extremely sensitive about gun use, so I encourage you to go the extra mile. We will be collecting all shell casings, etc. No glass targets or anything you cant haul out. Other than that and safety, I like to shoot at interesting stuff if possible - cans, jugs, ... anything that isnt a boring old target is what I like :)
Post up if you are joining me

That must have been the "New Years Hope For Snow" run, or something like that??

I did a day trip in Mt. Baker National Forest with those guys a few weeks ago, had a good time - most of the guys seem like good people.

Hoping to have (maybe both) lockers in by then, so it'd be great to test them out.

    Let's make it happen

Damn, I am just now seeing this. My Dad and I were just talking about going up there soon. Maybe another time in the near future.

Yeah, those guys seem pretty level-headed. I'd like to go on some other trips with them.

You missed out - really great day. Didn't make the peak but got some good snow action. Details later, still have stuff to put away
