You are one lucky man! Hell of a grab, make sure you post some pictures when its mounted and finished man. Do you have arrangements for a winch or lights yet?

 

I am thinking that or a tent will be my next upgrades sometime in the next year or so. I have narrowed my choices down to an allpro apex or a US OffRoad small recessed winch plate where the front valance is. Anyone notice much of a drop or sag in there front suspension after install? I am running 3" bilstien lift with built right ucas

 

I will! I keep going back and forth between sand blasting and powder coating or just sanding it down and spray painting it.. I can still touch it up with powder coat. It'll look like a brand new bumper if I do.

But first Im going to have full hoops welded on to it, then Ill use my old LED pods and factory fog lights in it. As for a winch ill get a warn m8000 and do in cab controls.

DON'T get an all poo bumper...

 

Maybe sand blast And rhinoline?

 

I thought about that too but I don't want the textured look since my rear bumper will be powder coated and smooth.

After they bend you over on labor to get those hoops put on and you pay for powdercoating you'll probably be in the price range of a brand new bumper. I'd sell the one you just got for free (but don't tell anyone) and buy the one you want =D

If you do end up getting it powdercoated though let me know how much that costs... I have been considering having both of my bumpers done.

 

Im going to talk to them on friday about it and see how long they think it would take.. To bad Jake in BHam isn't back yet.. I think.

 

I recommend powdercoating. It shouldnt cost all that much and its pretty durable. Plus when you scratch it...a bit of rattlecan covers it back up. Though to be honest my front bumper is powder coated and the rear is rattle can and you cant tell much difference. Just depends how m uch you want to spend i suppose. It did two coats of primer and three coats of black just for reference. Took like 2 cans of primer and 2 cans of the black

 

Yeah I think I will have that done.

You might have to replace your front springs little brother. Plate bumper plus winch on 600# coils...

I vote rattle ran. I just touched up my ARB (it was scratched pretty bad after Naches this summer).

Sandpaper to rough it up, and some Rusto Satin Black...can't even tell the difference, and touch-ups will be a breeze.

Painting a bumper freaking sucks. Mine's painted, but I'll never paint something like that again.

A plate bumper may not be too bad, but the tubes and crap on my hybrid were a HUGE PITA.
