Has anyone tried/know anything about the hankook Dynapro MT's?? Im trying to decide between that tire in a 295/75/16 or MTR's in 285/75/16.. I read they aren't the best on wet roads but with siping I think they should be good.

I had 315/75r16 dynapro mts for awhile.. The were great for everything except puddles on road. The hydroplaned VERY easily. Maybe it just had to do with being a 35", I'm not sure.

I've read that a lot and thats been the only real complaint.. Others were being to loud or decrease in mpg's which is expected with an MT tire.. I mainly want them because they come in 295, I want a bigger tire than 285 but not as big as a 35"..

They are mud terrains Brian. I get so tired of hearing people talk about how mud terrains aren't good in the snow and the rain, you should've known that before you bought them. I don't have experience with that particular tire but I've heard a lot of good things about them.

Completely agree a ton of people say that, for some reason my Toyo MT's are very good on wet roads so thats the only reason why I bring it up, just wanted to make sure they weren't absolutely horrid

We do tend to get a lot of wet roads in the northwest. I read somewhere that if you Siped your tires, that you wont get as many miles out of the tire. food for thought?

I have Toyo Open Country AT2's and they would spin out pretty easily on wet roads. I took them to Les Schwab and had them siped and there was a definite improvement in traction. The tires will still spin on wet roads but not nearly as bad as they used to. As for mileage, I've got 50,000 on mine (40k of that siped) and I bet that I'll get another 10,000-20,000 out of them.

I ended up grinding them flat where the frame reinforcement would contact it, and then sandwiching it between the frame and the reinforcement plate. A few seconds with a .045 grinding wheel is all it took

I had that idea in mind.. Really won't know exactly until I hold it up. I went to take my skid plate off to get the resi mounts off and broke the wrench... Damn harbor freight. Ill probably do it sometime this week.

Siping your tires is a really good way to improve traction, and I usually get it done on all my tires. Just make sure the tire dudes don't sip them too deep on MT tires or big chunks will come off as soon as you hit gravel.

Pretty sure in the next few weeks ill be getting new tires, and my final decision is.... BFG KO2's 285-70-17

Yeah i've been asking for opinions and I've been a little swayed from the goodyears to the BFGs. A real good looking AT.

I can't make it to the overland rally, i have a 4 day rafting trip on the Grand Ronde that weekend!

Im looking for a reliable shop to install my OME kit on my '14 double cab. I'm new to the Bothell area and don't have any tools/garage here yet to do the install myself.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
When are you wanting it done? What did you get for the rear? And is the front put together already, or do you need it compressed?
