Yeah he can do it himself, but he cannot conjur up a driveline from nothing. Craigslist isn't turning anything up, or ebay.

I am skeptical that it's bent... Vibration goes away after about 35mph. I imagine if it were BENT that would not be the case.

 

Mine is gouged and it only vibrates from 40-48 mph

I bought a one piece from Tom Woods for $500 including shipping, they even had it to me in just a couple days.

 

Call a local driveshaft shop and ask if he can schedule a time to have the driveline checked out and/or repaired and remove it in the shops parking lot. I've done it once before when my truck was my only mode of transportation.
His vibes could be coming from a bunch of different sources, but I'd start by re torquing the leaf spring U bolts.

It's sitting on saw horses in my garage waiting for me to fab my bed mounts.

I recommend Drivelines of Seattle I believe they're called. I went to Drivelines NW and their quote was double Drivelines of Seattle and someone I know had trouble with them. It's been a long time since I needed driveline work so your mileage might vary.

 

Weather man says its gonna be pretty wet this weekend. Hopefully the rain shadow helps keep us dry over there.

Sunday group- for those with CB's, we will use ch21 since that's what the Saturday group will use. I just checked the Wsdot site, and they say the blasting work and shut downs on I90 are done for the year, so shouldn't have any delays from that. See y'all at the Shell station in Roslyn!
