Nope, had to turn around about .5 mile from the lake, mainly due to lack of day light.

I went to Lester, and then explored some stuff off road 52. Who was that I saw on the power lines off 54?

Sadly nope we didnt. At this point id say the trail is dang near closed close to the lake. Jeeps might be able to do. I also think a group of two 4runners or tacomas could make it but it would involve more winching and be slow going. A warm spell could change that though...as could more snow. Our turn around point was coming up to a rut in the road that was probably 18"-24" deep.

But the day was still fun. Got to play in the snow! It was a beautiful day out, no wind, and around 27 degrees the whole time.

Besides the stop point the only other real challenging point was a creek crossing. In the summer itll be no problem. But all the rocks were solid ice. So we got to winch out two guys. One was a self winch and the other was me at the top of the hill winching him up. Was interesting as it was a good 100' winch with my truck teethered to a tree so i didnt slide down the hill too. Luckily it was much easier on the way back.

O and of note....when deciding where you should park the truck to winch....avoid giant ice patches that are right in front of the winch.

our only real casualty of the trip was a turn signal on one of the 4runners. It died a glorious death though! I know we have pictures of that at least!

This was the creek.. Where Alex is standing was incredibly slick, plus every rock close to the stream was covered in ice.

I have to ask... How did your vehicle get stabbed in the eye with a wooden stake?

Carnage like that makes me dislike full hoops. Looks like the hoop kept the stick from glancing off the fender.

Well, I think it's time for me to replace my camera.

Took 88 photos, 8 were able to be saved. The light sensor has been bad for over a year, but now focus is off as well. Looks good through the sight, so I know it's not the lense.

Note that this is a JDM corner light... Not going to be too easy to replace. I'm just glad it didn't puncture his radiator- that would have been a long day.

You're right, Brian should have had his damn chain saw in his truck.
