There was talk a bit ago about going down to Tahuya this Saturday but that hasn't come up for a while. If not I might go do some exploring on FS roads up Mt Loop, see how far up Green Mt I can get. You are welcome to join me if you want since you are right down the road.

 

Yeah man let me see what the wife says. Not sure if we will be headed out of town just yet for thanksgiving, might be heading out to eastern oregon to see family. I am game for next weekend though for sure

In other news, when I get home from Portland tomorrow my new tires should be in. 235/80r16 tryxus mt on stock taco steel wheels.

But really, the skinnier the better, I've found. I don't play in the goopy mud enough to ever need a wide tire. Narrow shines best on slick dirt roads and ice, which is the bulk of my bad weather driving.

 

I think I just did Rock Auto. I regret not doing both inner and outer at the same time. Most shops do both because when one goes, the other side is not far behind. For that matter, it's probably good to just do both sides as well.

Everything I read said that it was an unholy hell job. I think I paid $400 for some other shmuck to do it while I relaxed at my desk job.

OK. back to a lift question. Icon is having a 20% off sale. I was looking at the stage 1,2, and 3. All three have the same front shocks. 1 and 2 have different rear shocks with a 1.5" add a leaf. and 3 has all plus tubular UCA's. My question is can I find equivalent UCA's for around the same price and would I be better off with the shocks and finding a whole new leaf pack or is the add a leaf fine? I remember someone saying the stock leafs have problems. Thanks in advance.
