Depending on where we go, you'd still be pretty close by. :D Is the FJ Naches event confirmed or still tentative?

i will be camping the last weekend in salmon la sac just off the first bridge on the way out to this place. i'll be going out on wednesday night and coming back home sunday. its the same place i have been going camping at for 20+ years now, and i would definitely be interested in hitting some trails while out there.

when looking at a map, search on google maps or mapquest for salmon la sac. move the map a little south and find NF-4308, which is the first river crossing north of the lake. we camp on the south side of the bridge on the west side of the river.

if anybody else wants to make camp with me, let me know. i'll have my truck and trailer with a good start on the camp site. my plan is to see if my wife can get a ride to work on that wednesday, and i will pick her up in lynnwood, then head to i90 from there. i expect to show up at the site around 8pm or so. wifey is off work at 4:30.

I hope he knows I was just joking... I don't think he's a whore... just... open minded :D

Ok so, the FJ guys are going out that way and now you are camping out that way for a week and it's all on the same weekend?
    hmmmm

So - here's a GPS layout of our Fortune Creek trip:

Blue represents our starting point, red is ending point and green is intended destination.

    Total distance: 35.9 miles
Elevation: 2278' minimum which was at our starting point, 5010' maximum

Looks like we were .81 miles from our destination as the crow flies, ~1 mile away trail distance. The elevation of the lake is officially 5634' feet. Having said that, it appears we would have continued facing ~0.5 miles of forested steep incline until transitioning into ~0.5 miles of gravel slope before reaching the lake.

That snow should be melting veeery quick this week.

About three hours from bellevue, I-90 the whole way.

That's my educated guess according to google maps. I haven't been over there yet, but everyone I know has and said the dunes are a blast. Not like the giant ones down in socal but still a blast. I would definitely bring my dirtbike with me.

Its about 1.5 hours from bellevue to ellensburg, and ellensburg looks about half the distance.

Now that I am looking at it, it is about a 4 hour drive for me. I heard it's fun over there but if you guys want to pick somewhere closer on the west side it wouldn't hurt my feelings

I think it would be cool to do a one or two night camping trip, and bring whoever. Trails, shooting, fishing, whatever you guys feel like doin!

Regardless of where we go, I'm open for the last weekend of the month. An overnight camping/wheeling trip would be great. Maybe we should see who is available on that date and then try to decide on location?

I got the time off so Im down for anything the last weekend of this month. I was thinking of heading out to the naches area and maybe trying to jump in with the FJ group If I find them. If I don't see them then my brother and I are just going to camp and wheel out there for the weekend.
If we can get a group going somewhere else I would be down to go there instead. Im just trying to get out of town for the weekend.
