On a more cheery note, is anyone interested in a post Christmas build day? I'm sure lots of you will be getting truck stuff from Santa. I'll offer my garage and driveway. I have a medium amount of tools and some know how. Unless.....someone ( Greddy) has an awesome shop or something.....I'll buy beer up to $100.

It's Fing Christmas, and I stupidly run an Fing super regional mall. What was I thinking? Fact is with the increased amount of public space shootings, stabbings, and other fun stuff, the powers that be suddenly decided that a Director needs to be on property all the hous we are open, which is 8a to 10 or 11 p depending on the night. Since there are only 3 Directors, we are splitting the shifts. Still sucks. Will be looking for a new Job with the new year, cuz I don't care HOW much they pay me, this is not worth it. However, I am still building my truck in my "spare" time! Wife no longer recognizes me, and held a gun on me when I came home late the other night. ( good girl!)
PLEEEEZE send pics when you go out, and I'll see you all in January!
Peace, and have a happy, wonderful Christmas, and cherish your time with your family and friends!

I'm in the same boat. I pump porta potties and at this point, they can't pay me enough to devote my life to shitters. Although the money is good and funds my Tacomaworld addiction, taking up all my free time is getting old. It gets to a point where you can't put a price on freedom. I need a normal 9-5 m-f job with occasional OT, not mandatory OT.

I've never had a problem with my girlfriend pulling a gun on me when I come home at midnight after a 16hr day, even though there's one under the bed pillow and also one under the couch, also other strategically placed locations throughout the house.

I sorry, what's "OT"? Since I'm salaried, I figured out my hourly for the year, and it came out to about $3/ hr.
As for the gun, yeah, we are a bit paranoid, and have gun safes throughout the house and kydex holsters screwed to both sides of our headboard. Thankfully, she's very well trained, and doesn't drink much.
BTW, do you work for Northwest Cascade?

I could never work salary. Just for the reason you mentioned. For me I end up working on average 300-400 hours of OT a year. Which is about perfect for me since its extra money but not terrible either. If i go much higher on OT i take some of it as comp time so I get more time off.

Luckily I dont mind my job. Benefits, plenty of time off, and good pay for someone who never graduated college! Plus I get to work on something that not many people get to even see. And now Im working on something that our best estimate is that fewer than 50,000 people have been involved since the 80's (when it started). And even out of those 50k people we figured around 10k have actually been directly involved in. So pretty neat!

I'm in for a build day, as always I have a laundry list of work to do that I'm unable to tackle at home due to the HOA:fenforcer:
