Does have the advantage of being able to pull either direction, and that anchor point at the other end means you can do off angle pulls without having the line all spool to the side of the winch. It would certainly be a self recovery only device though, and I can see ruts and tight trails being a problem. Also, if you don't have a locker, you have to use both sides.

Definitely would work for sand and snow.

I'd be worried about any pull on it other than straight ahead. Get to wide and it would be useless. The video showed some sort of "line straightener" (for lack of better name lol) but not sure how well it works.

It's an interesting device that's for sure, just not something I see as being really useful over a regular winch and recovery boards. Be a decent option for the aussies who see more sand than us though

While living in San Diego, CA I witnessed a speeding Expedition run a red light, get clipped by an F150 in the right rear 1/4 panel just hard enough to cause the Expedition to slide, then flip.
Watching from the position one car behind the F150, my wife and I had a front row seat to watching one of the drunk passengers get ejected ABOVE the flipping Expedition.
    Cinco De Mayo 1995.
No sure I would want to see any flipping again...

@dakotasyota What winch are you running? I also have a SOS bumper and seem to remember you have to have a specific type of winch. I.E. Divorced Solenoid I think?
