Hey long time no see. I remember when you had your old 4runner and blue single cab I think it was. I used to live in the party house down the street on 335th in fall city.

 

Wow, hello! It's been some time since the days of the 4runner(s), I still miss both of them at times. haha How's it been? Taco now? If I remember correctly you used to have a lifted first gen PU.

 

Yup, I went though a few first gens and a second gen. Picked up a taco just over a year ago now. Still in fall city just on the other side of town.

I had just heard the other day that you bought a 16. Can't remember who told me now. Someone heard from someone or something like that. Nice work. Good looking truck.

 

Thursdays are interesting for me.

 

Needing sliders, anyone have any fav local fab Gus that make these? Local wins. No shipping !

 

Probably going to be cheaper to have a company do it that mass produces them. I got mine from 4x innovations, very heavy duty and surprisingly cheap. They have a shipping quote on their website at checkout but mine were shipped with my bumper.

 

You could order a DIY weld-together one for pretty cheap and we know some good welders in the area. That's an idea.

 

Ya i saw the weld on ones are cheaper and my buddy welds. Even the pre made ones from several sites.

I also have another question base possibly on preference. Im shopping for a winch and leaning towards mounting it on the tow hitch with one of those setups instead of the front where you have to cut your valance, etc. any thoughts?

 

There are winch mount options that just add a 2" reciever to the front of your truck too, gives you the option of using your winch either front or rear.

 

Yeah man that's a great way to fully utilize your winch, and increase the chances of recovery if you're stuck alone. There are instances where you're stuck and you shouldn't/cant go any further forward. When we go out as a group that's not a problem tho someone usually has a front winch or a strap behind.

 

So basically it sounds like aesthetics, aside from being able to mount it to the front and rear. Sounds like I need to shop for a hitch plate for the front...

 

CBI sells one for relatively "cheap" I think. No idea how it compares to other manufacturers or how it mounts, I just remember seeing them for sale when I bought my bumpers.

 

I would love to hit Walker Valley. I haven't been there yet. Just let me know when!

It's surprising how things travel, even when I'm living 25miles away. Haha thanks man, im sure you'll see me around. The rents still live in DT fall city.
