    Welp, on the way to Mother's Day brunch and my shifter broke. No gears at all, I managed to ram it in 4th gear and 4-Lo to get it home. The stock end of the shifter broke off inside the URD adapter. I just welded it back on. Has anyone else had this problem?

    mostly stock
    I welded mine solid (the rubber vibration damper fell apart internally) and removed the URD adapter.

    Another time I lost a syncro and got stuck in 3rd gear and drove to work in 4lo, but that didn't have anything to do with the shifter.
