Yep I've had it on my truck with a winch for about a year now and nothing to complain about. Came down on a big rock and smacked the underside of it and it took it like a champ. I'm about to get a full sized bumper and sell mine but I have the 2012-2015 version.

 

yes, confirming this weekend and I'm camping and I'll be wondering off to scout.

 

My RTT is in Kent! Although they say I can't pick it up until 3. Damnit! I've got today off.

 

Why the change from what you have to full size now? Something you have just wanted for a while, more protection up front...

 

Yes more protection. I originally did the winch bumper because I wanted a winch but didn't want to pay for a full sized bumper at the time. So it was already a plan to eventually sell and upgrade.

Anyone know where I could find a rear drive shaft for a 2008 DCSB? 4x4 of course.

My brother in law just called me and Toyota says his is bent (from daily driving) and needs replaced. $1300 + $100 labor.

Replacing it is easy. If he's an auto it should be an easy find.
Pro tip though it's only $300-$500 to get it retubed. Or you can get a Tom woods in the $500 range... I think? @BoatRacer

 

Yeah he can do it himself, but he cannot conjur up a driveline from nothing. Craigslist isn't turning anything up, or ebay.

I am skeptical that it's bent... Vibration goes away after about 35mph. I imagine if it were BENT that would not be the case.

 

Mine is gouged and it only vibrates from 40-48 mph

I bought a one piece from Tom Woods for $500 including shipping, they even had it to me in just a couple days.

 

Call a local driveshaft shop and ask if he can schedule a time to have the driveline checked out and/or repaired and remove it in the shops parking lot. I've done it once before when my truck was my only mode of transportation.
His vibes could be coming from a bunch of different sources, but I'd start by re torquing the leaf spring U bolts.

 

Lets see.. you picked it up at 3:29, I assume it was installed by about 8?

 

It's sitting on saw horses in my garage waiting for me to fab my bed mounts.

I recommend Drivelines of Seattle I believe they're called. I went to Drivelines NW and their quote was double Drivelines of Seattle and someone I know had trouble with them. It's been a long time since I needed driveline work so your mileage might vary.

 

Weather man says its gonna be pretty wet this weekend. Hopefully the rain shadow helps keep us dry over there.
