I would love to hit up tahuya, it's just way too far for me to go for the day. I heard it's awesome though.

I know i am new here, but thought i would chime in with a few things.
    1. I am part of Toyota Syndicate Northwest and we are planning an install meet at a guy's house in Auburn. he has a 2 car garage that has enough space to put 1 vehicle in, as well as 2 in the driveway, plus there is plenty of street space to park, and work on vehicles there. TSNW is for any toyota, lexus, or scion vehicle, so its not all about trucks.
    2. I have 3.28 acres at my house in lake stevens, and i would be willing to have something at my place as well. i have basic hand tools here, but no welders or pneumatic tools.

Well since it looked like this mod day wasn't ever going to happen, I hardwired the power inverter today. Now to derp the badges on the next sunny day.

Front looks great, badges coulda came out better. I would just take them off and paint them if I had to do it again.

Interesting. I'm assuming you have a tacoma if you are on here then? Haha. I am about 45 minutes north of you. A lake stevens meet would be perfect.

Yeah probably. I did four coats on them all and used a toothpick after each coat. When it came to peeling it all came off pretty good, other than the small crevasses. Its hard to get out from there. Plus the insides of all the O's peeled up after every coat and I can see some of the chrome.

Other than that, they actually look pretty good. I have to clean the body of the truck right around the place where I painted, left little white speckles, that will come off, just gotta be scrubbed.

Using a toothpick after each coat is a must. I'm not looking forward to the small crevices either.

Post a pic of the front grill you derped.

45 min north of me you say, so that would put you somewhere around Bow Edison.

Yes I do have a taco. Just rolled 10000 miles on it today. i got it brand new 7 months ago and started abusing it shortly after that. I have only ever owned 4 cylinder toyotas.

Based on weather around here, any outdoor meets & installs would be better toward the end of june or into july, and my schedule is booked up for most of June. I only have the weekend of the 30th open right now, but i have the first 3 weekends in july available. i might even have something to install on my truck around then, but not sure.

That would be great!! However, if a full blown mod day won't work out -- how about a Spring meetup @ XXX in Issaquah?? I think this is the group that did that before and had a good time?? I was not able to make that - a Sunday would be preferred and would be easy to throw together...maybe a little earlier if the weather is nice -- that place was PACKED the other day!!

    Just a thought.......

    :)

I'd still love to jump in. I'm out of the country the first one in May, but any other weekend would probably be fine for me. I went ahead and did some of the easy stuff, but I still need to get my switchbacks figured out and it'd be cool to hang out.

Here's hoping for good weather coming up... keep us posted on a place we could meet!
