I highly doubt those caster #s from stock UCAs. But I guarantee aftermarket UCAs will cure the wandering.

I ran light racing on my old Tacoma and am running camburg uniball currently. Honestly the light racing ones are fine and probably better overall for the PNW since its shielded from weather, road debris, etc. but I still like the uniball strength. Mine don't make any noise, but I clean/lube them regularly.

I usually stay street but in near future I will offroad alot if this fixes my problem.
Should I change my coil spring too?

OME will give you a MUCH better ride than your preloaded stock coils. If you aren't so restricted money wise look into the higher end Fox/King/Icon.. But OME coils on bilstein shocks are a very good option.

Since you will off road a lot in the future i'd go uniball just to have the extra strength and piece of mind.

I was experiencing the random throttle dead spot. Felt like I took the foot off the gas completely at random times. Some issue with the ECU and the throttle body and the S/C not playing nicely together. No known fix other than removing the S/C. I actually sold the whole setup to my roommate. It's running perfectly on his '99 Tacoma. Damn, I wish I had the old school manual throttle cable instead of the ECU controlled throttle body.

Started my windshield washer relocation today. Tired of hitting it when stuffing the passenger wheel off-road. Pics tomorrow(-ish) when I wrap it up.

Quick question, on the first page it says that you have the OME 881 springs. I've read that with the extra weight of bumpers and all that jazz, it is smart to upgrade to the heavier 882 and 883 springs. Is the Trail Gear low pro bumper light enough so that you don't have to upgrade springs?

Funny you mention it... I literally got my 882 coils from Wheeler's Off-road today. Overall I have been happy with the 881s, but I have just a little bit of tire rub when turning while articulating. Hoping the extra 20mm provided by the 882s will alleviate the need to get drastic with the wheel well clearance project.

Hoping to install the 882s tomorrow or Friday.

Windshield washer reservoir relocate complete! I've calculated the final volume to be just over a half gallon... Not bad. I had a lot more space on the driver's side so that's where I had the "filler neck" come up. Drilled a small hole in the cap to prevent the pump from pulling against a vacuum. The reservoir is an "L" shape and the OEM pump is installed in the far end on the passenger side.

Also got my OME 882 coils installed. It's been a long time coming, but I'd been procrastinating on ordering the coils due to not wanting to deal with the swap. Took me 2.5 hours when it was all said and done -- wasn't as bad as I was expecting. Ended up not using the boots over the shock shafts because of space issues with my rented spring compressors. I don't foresee any major issues running bootless.

Definitely happy with the end result. Much more space between my tires and the firewall. Should alleviate most, if not all, of my clearance issues while off-road.

Nice clean set-up. What alternator did you go with? Big 3 upgrade?

    Great build!

Thanks! It's working well so far. I've got BamaToy's HO alternator and a big 3 upgrade as well.
