True, but I'm only at 133,000 km! Assuming you put those miles on nice and evenly, you would have been at 145,000 km when yours turned 5.

2017's are out... I just realized my baby is 5 years old already. They grow up so fast!

    wtf is a km? :blahblah:

    :canada:

    basically avg'd ~20k mi/year which would be 32k km/yr...right? :anonymous:

it's always funny how most other vehicles, if you hit 200k, you'd be picking up pieces or already moved on...but at 200k, the truck still has a lot more life left in it and it'll have many more adventures under its belt before it is retired...maybe by 2026 i'll be ready to let it go...or just rebuild it :)

Haha. I figured your 2006 was 11 years old now that the 2017's were at dealerships (for about 18,200 miles/yr). Buuut, that's not really what's important here.

I agree, these things are awesome. There are a few other vehicles I would trust to take me 200k nice easy commuter miles, but nothing else I've seen stand up to the abuse like a Tacoma. The big heavier tires, tons of extra weight, challenging terrain and now a supercharger make your 200k much more impressive! I think I might be ready for a new truck by the time the 3rd gens come out... not because I'll need one, but because I like shiny new things.

That's pretty solid, outer lugs are looking pretty square still as well.

Looks like I am going to end up with a 35s set up similar to yours, I know its been a couple years but I have a couple questions about modifying the bushwacker flares.

Do you remember the specs on the bolts that you used, specifically the length?
Any thing you thought went particularly well during the modification process?
Any thing you regret or any mistakes I should watch out for?
The bushwacker plastic seems more brittle than the OEM flares, have you had any problems with overgrown trails messing them up?
Do recall how much you trimmed off of them?

Thanks for any insight you can provide.

36 button head bolts, 72 nuts, 36 nylon washers, 36 flat washer and 36 lock washers

nut and nylon washer is used as a spacer then washer, lock and nut on the inside of the fender...

@Gramps might have a better list of hardware from his mod...he did it slightly different than mine

electric shears work great for cutting the plastic...don't forget some edging to cover the metal cuts as well as the bushwacker cuts

definitely have some pinstriping on them from trails, but so does the rest of my truck

some pics showing the amount left on the flares...i don't have exact measurements from the cuts...i documented much better on my OEM flare cuts, not so much on the bushwackers

unfortunately the company who made it is here in Ft Collins and would be very costly just to ship it.

If you wanted to contact them for a quote, http://www.addictedoffroad.com, they made some bad ass products that hold up to serious abuse.
