    update:

4wd issue turned out to be the front 4wd actuator...it sits at the front of the differential below the front of the engine

my buddy jace was able to bring it into his shop while i was outta town and pull the front apart and replace the part....4wd works like a charm again!

hoping it snows this weekend so i can test it out some more!

    next things on the list....

    1. paint and install BAMF skid
    2. get tcase skid back, paint and install
    3. finish HID retro and install
    4. order u-bolt flip kit
    5. drool over upcoming suspension upgrade possibility...:spy:
    6. if things go as plan, install u-bolt flip and suspension upgrade, and chop cab mounts
    7. fly-eyes design lighting
    8. HID reverse lights
    9. wheel the piss outta it in moab!

BTW CVs (full assembly) from AutoZone are $100 and have a Lifetime warranty. I have one as a spare, I bought it before heading to Moab.

I'm amazed on how well those boxes hold up during shipping.

only saw one small hole in it and didn't look like it was related to the skid at all...for such a beefy skid, it definitely held up well

    B.A.M.F. Differential Skid Install

    arrived well packaged..

already had a coat of primer on it

    in my painting booth
    [IMG]

    first coat of indigo blue
    [IMG]

threw some of my fiance's glacier pearl touch up paint in the BAMF and damn does it make that pop!

    installed!

    photos with truck clean

install was fairly straight forward...the side pieces went on the easiest with having to slightly bend some lines that run along the axle

the front mounting point gave me some difficulties but after filing away some of the passenger side wall on the upper bracket, the bolts lined up and the bracket sat in there nicely..

too bad this thing looks so good, i don't want to get it dirty now!

I'm staying in one of those huts over spring break. Super cheap and sounds like a blast.

Dude those are the exact three face plates I have for mine right now. Except I'm putting them in the top row and the rest are moved down to the bottom

very nice..yea i like their design a lot

i already had my PIAA switch down in the light grey area and wanted to keep that switch kinda hidden...plus i only had to move one stock switch with wiring up instead of two down..

good looks on the group buy on your LED rock lights! $$ is very tight right now otherwise i'd pick up a couple flexible strips to brighten up my rock light setup...

but i already have a few mods ahead of that on my list, and the freakin holidays always drain the funds!
