    well it's official....Betty needs a diet!

weighed her in at 5940lbs lately...and that was without the tent mounted and an empty bed. that's a 2000lb gain from stock

goal by the end of spring is to lose 500lbs! :curls:

    excited for the changes

the early stages of the truck were designed behind strength in armor and hit the hard trails...lately i've been enjoying more of the exploration trips which still require the occasional use of my armor and still necessary to protect my vitals, but i don't beat my truck up nearly as much these days...

so the ARB will be getting replaced with a redesigned InSain Alum 2nd Gen front bumper....skids are still not determined yet, but those will also be aluminum...redesigning the bed rack with InSain as well to move over to aluminum and add some fun features...

i'll also be going through all my parts and tools that i carry around daily to slim that down...

we'll see where i stand after that...

i'll also be going through my camping gear to see where i can shave some weight in the spring...

so those looking for used armor deals, spring time i'll be having a garage sale :D

Lots of dust and custom dents, Check Build
Keep the armor and get an axle designed to handle the weight. :notsure:

I'm looking into doing something like this. I picked up a 3rd gen e-locker, almost a 9". I'm going to get a Diamond built for it.

Nice plan... hadn't heard of InSain before now. Will check them out. How much weight saving you think you'll get be re-designing your bedrack with them? Any idea?

PS: Running 2 of the 4 of Pelfreybilt's aluminum skids and couldn't be happier...

skids are between CBI, RCI and Pelfrey...haven't decided yet

the addicted rack isn't terribly heavy and weight savings won't be drastic on the rack, but it should shave a little and allow for other features...still in the early design stage, but we're working on unique RTT mounting, side rotopax/shovel/ax mounting options and incorporate the softopper...maybe even additional modular storage rack up top...luckily i've had many trips with this rack, so i'll be able to take that experience and try to make improvements to make life on the trail easier...
