385lbs officially. but that was a weight loss with armor and gain with tires

buddy from texas who came up to grab an offroad trailer from hiker...convinced him to do a night run while he was here

 

Jealous of the San Juan expedition!!! Been wanting to make the FJ summit for as long as I've had my truck and still havent yet...

 

overland bound is doing a trip down there next week if you're on there..

How is the aluminum armor holding up now that you've put it to use? @NYCO

 

i'll have a closer look this weekend since i'll be taking them off for other work...definitely had some hits on them, so I am curious to see how they're doing as well

 

So a follow up on ^.... skids have been holding up great so far. makes me feel great going forward knowing they can take a hit just fine


while I was under the truck I also replaced my transmission mount since the old one had way too much play..

new...the old one was actually resting on the cross member and couldn't hold itself up anymore

Got a day to work on the truck and knock off some items that have been bugging me...

Chasing down some clunks, I think I found my 4wd clunk... much like jberry, but luckily didn't end the same..i had a loose bolt on my front diff.. real close to falling out, not even finger tight..


Then many hours of wiring... my old rock lights took a shit and I've had a set of Lux on the bench waiting to go in.. so out with the old and in with the Lux.. cleaned up some other wiring sloppiness that's been bugging me...

 

Hmmm must check my diff....
