O/D ON O/D OFF question

    When taking a grade and you switch the O/D OFF, is it best to do it under throttle, no throttle, or does it even matter? Just curios as it crossed my mind driving today.

    doesn't matter. once you take O/D off it throttles up anyway. it's basically like downshifting without using your foot :)

    F&R suspension, OBA, Custom bed rack, RTT, rear frame plates, 4x4 conversion from prerunner, many other
    I guess it makes no difference... Though, if you aren't in OD when you push the button, it isn't going to drop a gear... If you are in OD when you push the button, it will drop one gear...

    Try the ECT button if you want to 'kick-down' a gear ;-) or mash the throttle

    Love that etc for dragging out gears. I wasn't sure if it mattered about being on the throttle. Just checking.
