Okay this is probably a stupid question but i am ignorant when it comes to this stuff...

    Back story,

94 ford bronco PO Jacked the wiring for all the factory speakers when doing the old system..

    Where i am at..

I removed all the old wiring installed by PO Everything was set up to run off a aftermarket amp i am going to be running only 4 speakers 2 fronts 6x5 and 2 rear 6x8 Not looking for anything special just want decent sound.

I found cut wires on right at both rear speakers assuming (I know what does assuming get you) That logically same wire cut on both sides right at the speakers that were formally wired to aftermarket setup would be the stock wiring harness hookup for speakers.. Well Both speakers are hot at that connection (Well bare wires now thanks to PO) And then 2 cut grounds..

Problem i am having I have 2 hot wires and 2 grounds the 6x8 speaker has hookups for both i hook it up and have no power untill i flip my map light switch then i get power to the speaker and can turn off the map light and still have power?

Figured i would post here hoping this is just something basic that yall could help me with and not be specific to a bronco... Trying to get the wires worked out before i buy speakers
