I’ve debated it for a long time now but don’t think it’ll happen. The ifs keeps my daily on more friendly trails

Although as soon as I graduate I wanna build a Toyota based buggy I can tow around to the fun trails and events

    Hey bro,
I see you bought the BAMF relocation kit for the uppers. Too bad he discontinued it. What brand are those lower mounts? They look beefier af. And do you know if they're the same as Speedy's? Thanks.

If I were to re-do it I would make my own upper mount off out of tube with brackets and pushed it up even further under my bed. The BAMF bracket is 1/4” from the underside of the bed but with a tube and my own mounts I could have probably got it another 3/4 to 1” higher. And I think the lower mounts are just some ones from kartek if I remember correctly. I would have also went with the welded rod ends

You're making a valid point, seeing Speedy's pictures and talking w/my coworker I see what you mean re the uppers. What does it mean when you say "welded rod ends"? Can you show me a comparison?

Also, is your frame boxes? Or reinforced at all? ...I think I want to do that while I'm back there right

My frames only boxed where we needed to weld the BAMF crossmember across. Probably should have boxed the whole thing when I was back there but it was a time crunch B4A6CAE1-6AC7-42B1-A211-010D88E62DCE.jpg

Just did some maintenance over the weekend. Had a shop do the passenger/driver valve cover gaskets and related gaskets including TB, half moons, etc

Replaced a bad bearing in a pulley, threw in some white line lca bushings after torching the factory ones out then went in for my lifetime alignment. Replaced lbjs after the old ones only lasted 15k miles.

    Now time to wheel :anonymous:

    I went with the 285/75r16s

Any bigger and I would have to cut the tubes on my front bumper to make more clearance and re-weld end caps:annoyed:

Installed the 1" Bora spacers and the new rubber :D
    IMG_0480.jpg IMG_9510.jpg

ALSO fabbed up some fenders stiffeners in the rear. Super simple and very functional. Before they wiggled a bit actually.
    IMG_7764.jpg IMG_0329.jpg IMG_9928.jpg

@YotaGurlIAm Not sure if your rear bedsides wiggled like mine? But definitely makes them rock solid for under $10 and super easy to do
