Glad I’m not the only one:rofl:

The stiffeners are a night and day difference in rigidity! No more wiggle!

I really like the color matched flairs and have been trying to find some with minimal luck :anonymous:

Won’t the paint just chip off the plastic over time? That’s my #1 reason why I haven’t done it yet :bananadead:

Yea I wanted to remove mine but they have the holes there. Didn’t want to do bondo work or fill them with bolts like some people do

Have you thought about putting the clips back in color matching and shaving off the end? It'll look the best IMO, that's what a lot of 2nd gen guys do

Yea that looks awesome! Although from what I remember the majority of my clips are mis matched colors, with the red ones being pink-ish. Im sure I can pick some red ones up possibly though

Well after lots of research I attempted to throw together a roof rack for my 1st gen DC. I would have bought one BUT prinsu or other companies don’t make them for the 4 door sadly. There are some things I would change on round two like slightly bigger sides.

The curvature of the roof was hard to follow because it is flat on the roof absolutely no where... some type of angle on the whole thing making it harder to get a flush, close to the roof rack. The middle crossbars are 80/20 aluminum but they didn’t sell the size I needed so I ordered larger, measured, andtapped the holes with threads.

    Anyways... here’s the pics.

Edit: Prinsu has just released a double cab 1st gen rack in the last week ish I was making this

It’s all aluminum so pretty light. I was lifting it up onto my roof and maneuvering it by myself when mounting

Have been thinking about making some for people now that the kinks are all worked out when building mine. Wouldn’t be for a few months though as I’m back off to school in northern Arizona tomorrow. Guess I’ll have to see if the prinsu racks are a hit or if people would be interested in these also :notsure:

When I built it I wasn’t aware prinsu released a rack for our trucks just recently.. believe I checked 2 or 3 weeks ago so decided to build this one

Nice truck OP! I just skimmed the first few pages but so far I’m a fan.

Question for you and I’m sorry if this is already covered. What did you do to your rear setup and why did it not work the first time?

I see in your mods list you have a BAMF relocation but I wasn’t aware they made anything for 1st gens?

    Thanks!

Austin you still in the SoCal area or out in AZ right now? We should get together and wheel when you're out here, it's been forever...first Mojave trip I think?

Truck is looking awesome! How do you like the St Maxx tires? I just ordered those myself in 255/85

Thanks! It’s been a fun little build over the years while I’ve been in school. Reminds me I need to update that first page, ha.

First time I did the relocation it didn’t really work because of how the bamf upper shock mounts were setup they hit the 90 degree resi hose piece which loosened it causing it to leak. So had to cut and move angles of the upper mount a bit. Also, I had them angled pretty far in like this, /\, and wanted them more like this, | | , for better ride quality and tuneablilty. So I moved the bamf crossmember up as far as it would go and welded on some lower shock mounts that go slightly below the axle, and plated them, for the rocks. Have had zero issues since re-doing the rear shock setup. Just worked out a few kinks as most people weren’t running 2.5s with resis back there when I did my setup so not many people to ask questions to. Also got the wheelers bumpstocks in the back paired with some j59 deavers so had to cycle everything and make sure everything was mounted in the right spot so I had enough shaft at bump and also enough at droop.
