Have been super busy this summer but am hoping to get it out camping this fall and test it out with a bed mattress back there. Ya I love the utilitarian/military look of them :muscleflexing:

Also the fact that it saves me having to set up a tent etc. I can just throw my sleeping mat back there and shift somethings out of the way and be set for night:woot:

Do you have any pics/info of your spare tire set-up? I need to figure something out for this. I want to have it in the bed somehow but also don't want it to be to big a issue for storage/camping and sleeping back there.

Could always do a swing-out tire carrier on the tailgate. @digitaLbraVo just got a custom one made, looks pretty sweet

Yea I just thought of this right now.. My rear setup was only put on about a week or so ago an am not used to the tire being back there. I have a n-fab flat mount for it. Its basically just some d-rings in the bed an some straps. I put a d-ring directly below and threw a lock through the center d-ring and the wheel itself to prevent it being stolen..

Yep that would be my first choice. Just expensive. Wilco makes a bolt on option for a swing out that replaces your tailgate instead a bumper mount version. That still about a $$G though.

What was the verdict on that 4x4 conversion you were looking at??

awe yeah.. well with the parts that he had, I still would need the A340F transmission output shaft (& figure out how to attach it to my trans or get a whole different 4x4 transmission), remaining part of the driveshaft and some other things too, his price was just too high for me right now, he wouldn't budge on price.
I'm still really torn on what to do, I fucking love my truck and can't imagine selling it for a 4x4, it has taken on some trail challenges..but then again...2wd holds me back from a lot of trails I'd like to try.

4wd is defiantly fun, but if that wasn’t the deal then it wasn’t ment to be. You’ll find another conversion out there!

Seems to be both. Big thing is to not wipe them off before rinsing the dirt off first so they don't scratch up. You can get a topper/ clear vinyl spray on product that protects them from sun uv's as well to make them last.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
I had a member here weld me up a tire carrier that was simply that: an arm. It goes into the trailer hitch and holds the tire nice and easy. Can post pics later if there's interest? @FirstGen Jer the price I was quoted came way under the other options out there, but, it also didn't have any swing out/fold down/etc. Definitely opened up my bed for camping gear though when we did Pismo.

Denny if you do have pics that would be cool, so you have to take it completely out of the hitch anytime you wanna open the tailgate?
