I got good discount and didn't use the fleet... As it turns out cannot because we have to use the company finance bank to buy the truck, then I end up buying from them which is too much hassle... I used the my fiances dad went school with you discount

Saw a white, drop bracket 6 " lifted Colorado today... looked pretty good

 

I already ordered EFILive for the truck and haven't even taken delivery yet... EFILive will let me remove a bunch of stuff from the engine... I wont say which parts though... I hope I don't get bashed once I get rid of my taco and still hang out here... I know the thread is for Oahu Tacoma riders but I'll hang out till I'm not welcome anymore

So did I bro! Sooooo bad! I waited and waited for Toyota to bring us what would basically be the us spec hilux and they bailed on us back to back generations... They refuse to put the new diesel engines through epa certification.. I don't want a full sized or I would go for the tundra or titan which will both be getting Cummins... Chevy is the first to the market with a midsized crew cab turbo diesel... I couldn't wait anymore

 

You can import the motor in pieces and build it back up when you get it.. Look into the 1GD or 1KD....

 

I wouldn't mind that, 1GD looks nice with all the torque. might look into it more after my car engine is done

 

For me that was too much trouble... I though about it.. Then planned for it and found it to be too logistically troublesome then aborted that project in favor of boosting my 2tr.. Then while in the fueling process I aborted that project... Now I'm onto the next... Comes boosted and diesel... And I got the fueling handled.. EFILive gives OEM level access to the OEM ecu, its not a piggyback, I will be flashing the stock ecu... Also, if anyone else has a gm needing tuned I have the hardware already...

 

The 1gd is the successor to the 1kd... IMHO the 1kd would make for a simpler design but no difference in the work to be done... Still need to merge harnesses, and still need to do a heart transplant... That being said if you can get a 1gd with no exhaust after treatment you'd be better off going that route
