    Aloha!

What's up fellow TW'ers. Headed to Oahu on the 24th and was hoping to grab some ideas from locals on stuff to do (maybe discounts too).

This is our 8th time going to Oahu BUT the first time going with just me and the wife. Usually, we are with a big group so schedule is tight. Not this time though :D

Only thing we have on our agenda is the ATV Jurassic Park tour on the 25th. Schedule is pretty much open so any suggestion will be considered.

We like going on hikes, long walks on the beach (lol), get hammered, take landscape/astrophotography photos, etc

Oh, we like to go off-road too! We are renting a 2 dr Wrangler for our trip. So if anyone's going on a trip and would like to take us, we got your lunch covered!

A couple of us going camping this weekend. Just missing your trip.

There is a thread in this forum about food places you should try (I’ll link when I have time).

Also, if you haven’t already, hike kokohead and possibly even wiliwilinui. (Again, I’ll link when I have time).

I like to rent a car and take my time to just drive around the whole island (at least the parts you can) and find things along the way. We have been to the islands 9 times, different ones though.

We do like good restaurants but have found that the food trucks a lot of times have better food that is way cheaper. This applies more to Kauai but also Oahu's North shore.

Paradise Cove and Germain's luaus are great, 8x you have probably been to one.

In 2008 we took the Lost tour which I think is pretty much what you are doing except in a Humvee.

One of the cool things I liked was to take a sub marine tour.

Thanks, I’ll add that to the list! We are actually staying in Kaneohe (my wife’s ex Kumu’s house)

Totally agree on the driving around and stopping often along the way. The tour we are doing is the ATV, Jungle and Catamaran. It comes in 1 package.

New to me is the submarine tour. I’ll check that out.

We are also interested in doing a Helicopter ride. Any leads on that?

We took the volcano tour with Blue Hawaiian on the big island. We loved it. That was before the big eruption.
