Oahu Kaena point meet ups staging thread

I mean if you ask my wife she’d probably say some of my farts reach that level. But yah this thread can go just about any way people chose until after the rainy season since I guess people keep going back there and mud bogging and fucking everything up.

 

Is there any "designated" mudding areas on island? Is there such a thing?

 

Unfortunately there isn't any designated OHV parks on island. Kaena Point gets shut down it seems pretty much every time someone abuses the trails and starts bogging or going where they shouldn't. Peacock Flats has some pretty decent trails, ranging from moderate and sedan drive able, to a trail called the jeep eater haha.

 

OK. I was starting to understand Peacock Flats was the place to go and have fun and not feel bed about it

 

I'm still waiting on sliders before I go there, possible skids too...

 

If you are ok with some new all naturally made pinstripes on your ride, go for it

Eh.. I don’t abuse my stuff, but it’s meant to enjoy and live.. not just for show.. some have brought up trucks with paper plates...

If anyone was planning to come to Kaena today, just be aware of what you’re doing. DLNR is driving up and down. So be discreet with your beer.

Apparently HPD was at the gate yesterday and DLNR was denying access to the park for people with vehicles. Not sure the reasoning. A buddy was at the parking area yesterday and he said a dude with a blue tacoma got turned around. Good call out though!

 

Did the Tacoma have a pass? There are lots of people that try rushing in when someone with a pass opens the gate. The TW group is usually pretty good about this and makes sure everyone in the group has their pass.

 

My buddy said the guy had a pass. Said it happened at around 8am.

 

Someone got a ticket for bringing their dog in (not to far from us). Now’s not the time to be messing around here. Just saying...

 

So as long as we are following the marker paths we should be ok right?
