So.. The hunt is now officially on for a pede.. Note to all you with youngsters around.. There should be parental controls for CL.. nephew sold a bike (new about $325). For $180 (1 year old hardly ridden) to a couple guys who rode up in a suv that reaked like weed..

There's a big open flat park by my house and all grass could do some racing over there.

Maybe we can do some runs right next to the golfers on Hoakalei... lol.. We can all stand on the bridge and buss them on the t-box..

Amazon tracking says that my parts are here and ready to be delivered!!! Have my son's preschool graduation tonight, so should be able to install on Friday/Saturday.. Nephew may have a Pede by then, but with his dad this weekend, but if not, I'm sure he would want to come along..

Says on the website that it is 54. (same as the pede). My spur gear is basically new and the new one should be here any day.. If it shows up on my doorstep later today, you are more than welcome to my plastic one.. I'm gonna change out asap while I am doing my shocks shafts and slipper bushing..

Well my shocks and springs came in!! Diff locker too. But can't put the diffs togeather till my bearings are in. And I guess I got the wrong shock oil :/ figured I'd get the 5B oil since it's the same price as the regular HPI, but you get 100cc instead of 60cc. Reading the bottle it says it's petroleum based! Guess I should have known. Gotta use silicone to keep the orings happy. I guess I'll call HT and see what they have.

Big bores next to some slash/stampede caps for reference

I called and everybody on the island only carries Associated. Associated is great for racing because they give you actual viscosity numbers. But I have used HPI for so long that I can tell their oil weights by feel, and know which weight will do what I want.

I priced out driving to HT to get some Asssociated oil, and just ordering HPI on eBay and waiting till Tuesday to get it.. About $9.40 at HT with tax, then ~$12 or more in gas. eBay was $12 shipped.. I went eBay. With the cost of gas the Associated would have been worth it if I knew which exact weight to get, but I don't. And I don't have my bearings yet so its not like I'm waiting on shock oil to drive the truck. Now if HT or TRCC carried HPI oils I may have spent the extra on gas just so I could have something to do over the weekend, but oh well.

I dont think its the battery has anything to do the spur being stripped. Might just be the bouncing an flipping on the sand.

Well.. I'm loving and hating this new hobby all at the same time....

Got my Ti-shafts in the mail yesterday and rebuilt the shocks. For some reason 1 rear and 1 front shock is getting air in and pushing the oil out the aluminum cap. After that, the shock won't rebound when compressed. Kinda wishing that I just went with the big bores from the start. I think I'll head down to TRCC later today to get some new rubbers and play around with it again tonight. Called Traxxas this morning and they will be sending me new front and rear shocks (ultras) just in case I can't get them to cooperate (always good to have a spare set laying around just in case). May still go the Big Bore route if I can't get the shocks to work tonight..

Nephew will be picking up his Pede tonight (thanks to Log Cabins).. I could "borrow" those spare shocks that he is getting.. lol.. probably won't.. If he is with his mom next weekend, then I know for sure he will be running with the TW-RC crew (are we gonna make stickers..lol)

Next weekend should be Sunday correct?? We have coupe birthday's on Sat, so Sunday can..

Checked my Amazon tracking and the steel spur is out for delivery.. Hope that goes better than the shock fiasco.. Phil.. Will most likely be taking out my spur tonight or early tomorrow morning. It's yours if you need it.... I may be going over to Kailua side this weekend for a work thing.. I'll let you know when I set the appt up later today.. If not, we can plan a meet up..
