Sold the RTR Venom VMX450 today. Surprised it went as high as it did. Got over $400 for it on ebay. CC-01 landcruiser kit brought in $150.

As far as prerunners go.... (and oahu terrian)...

I'm getting bored of my summit.. everything I throw in front of it, curbs, stairs, other "obtainable" stuff it just cruises over... with my pede it's more of a challenge... that kinda sums it up for real trucks too huh??? Lol..lol..lol..

my maiden voyage to Peacock Flats felt like a minor acomplishment... was it a bore for the rest of ya'all?? Lol..

Yeah, it gets boring. The summit will never crawl like real rock crawler tho. My ax10 climbed a coconut tree about 20' up till it got vertical and flipped over. Luckily it was high enough I had time to catch it :D
If you bored with bashing, the answer is speed and a racetrack. For me, doing lap after lap trying to improve never gets boring. Even if it's just a few cones and a chalk outline.

Yea.. i tried to get on a track in CO when I was down there.. little woop-de-doops look like fun, and trying to get the right gas/brake combo to "showoff" a little and still be fast.. kinda how I got bored with guns.. Kokohead so far away... only so much you can clean and strip before you just want to shoot...

    First custom part made! :D
So I noticed that the front diff has a pretty beefy top brace on it.
And the rear diff has absolutely nothing! It has the roll cage that connects to the rear bumper/wing mount, but its not enough to brace the frame, and its pretty bendy here...
So I made this today! 5/32" thick 6061 aluminum.
Had to get new screws from hardware store tho.
And its a perfect fit!
Nice and stiff and not in the way of anything
Should have been like this from the factory! I might cut a 45* at the front to clean it up a little and paint it black.

Got some in today. Atleast it runs properly now. as in 4x4 :D
Actually, it runs great now that the brakes are working right, and all 4 tires have brakes and power.

Does it have lockers as in real 4x4 (like the summit) or front and rear 2x??

No, open diffs with some crazy sticky diff lube. The thickest I have is 30K weight, and it's not even close to what was in there. It makes it like a limited slip diff. I think the summit is the only vehicle with remote locking diffs. My tamiya crawler has a set screw plug that can be removed, and you insert a threaded pin into the diff to lock it. The redcat chimera is a sand rail anyway, not a crawler. More for speed :)

When I put the diff locker in my Savage I didn't notice much on pavement or in grass, but it seemed to get stuck a lot less in sand. It will still unload sometimes though. I think its worth the $6 if you don't have lockers :D

Got some monster 3s lipos in the mail today, and made some 316L reinforcement rings for my diff outdrives. They are pressed on with a .001 interference fit.

Still haven't sold the Summits yet, but I haven't been trying very hard.
Right now I'm torn between getting (for my daughter) the new Axial Yeti, or the Vaterra Twin Hammers.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ktkg7qahDL4
Twin hammers is a little smaller, and has brushed motor, so its a little slower, plus has two speed gearbox that is switched from the remote. So better for my daughter. Plus it comes with a real Spektrum DX3.
Value wise, the Axial Yeti would be better cause it comes with a great brushless motor, is a little bigger, and has an optional 2 speed gearbox.
