That looks NICE!!! As long as you think that would be strong enough to handle any mall parking lot curb....or occasional rock, works for me :rofl:

We could stick them to the truck then run beads around four sides if you want it stuck stuck.... IMO, I would like them on good enough for protection, but weak enough to give if something got a good hold on them... If I run beads around each side of all the legs, and somethings grabs them, only a few things would come from that and none very good.. A) grabs the bar, pulls and tweaks the frame B) breaks off at another point then all the welds gotta be ground off to prepare for another set or to remove them...

    Too long to list :D
I would run the full bead. If you hit something it's not going to mess up the frame, but if you only use rosette welds with the idea that they will fail with a big hit, then hey are not going to protect the body like they are supposed to.

My sliders are bolt on, but they are on my recon anyway. What the inspector told me is if it is something structural on the frame (cross member, suspension, ect.,.), or something that is intended for safety (bumpers, roll cage) then they will check it out. But if you build a bumper, then bolt it on they don't care. If you buy or build a bumper, and weld it on then they will probably want to look.

Good on you... one thing to "explain" nicely why the wait time. Purely another to be an ass... I recently refused to work with a new loan officer (at my local FCU) cause I wasn't getting a call back... been there a long time... had an account longer than I've had a paying job....

Plus, if you actually will use them as sliders, you need them stong enough to hold up the truck.. even in my old (I can say that now) 2x, I've gone over a bolder that would have damaged the cab if it wasn't for strong sliders.

Yeah I was kinda already going into it with beads all the way around.....if I hit something hard enough to grab and bend the frame then more than likely would have done it with or without the sliders

But...I totally understand what Jason was saying, and before he said that I probably wouldn't have even thought of it possibly being a hazard in that way
