One of my friends who work at Chevy said they still can do that as long as they have a scanner that can recode so no need a key to match anymore not sure if it works on tacos but I'd figure it's the same deal

Again and again I ask.. doesn't our trucks have the imobilizer??? I saw another post yesterday that some unmarked black tow truck was trying to hook up a car in waipahu... owner came out, driver said he owed money.. owner threatened to call police, driver dug out..

Can't blame the guy, it's seems like he was always advertising his truck for all the world to see, specially in social media.

Bachi to whoever stole it though.

Lock box is usually for when they go beach or surf, or if you lock your keys in the car. I'm gonna post it on that Stolen Stuff Hawaii page later, but I'll wait till the emotion dies down a bit.. when I had my truck (and made a duplicate to leave at home), I was going to pay for a extra key, with the chip inside.. Someone recommended to me that I just cut the key, but do not buy the chipped key.. You can unlock your doors fine with the cut key, but if you start it, it would die shortly after.

Just use it to get into your vehicle with a key hidden (when going to the beach), or unlock your doors (if you lock your keys in the car)...
