I'm one step ahead of you. Gonna order some power stop rotors and pads from Amazon! Gonna install everything one time. I just hope it will be the last time taking it apart

If it gets louder during long windy turns left or right then it's probably the wheel bearing...I've been through a few of them. Don't ask me how much...my passenger side one is currently bad.

Glock 26 is a little snappy. Baby finger tends to hang off the frame. Not an unpleasant shooting gun but outside of concealed carry, no significant benefits over a 17.

226 is opposite end of the spectrum. A little large because the decocker adds some thickness to the grip. Won't be much of an issue if your guys hands are on the larger size. Stainless finish isn't so corrosion resistant.

I'm a glock guy. Glocks only need one tool (glock tool with front sight driver and punch) to disassemble completely. Every part can be replaced without having to send to the factory (unlike 226). Lots of options with the 17. Look up "lone wolf". I think a 17 and 19 would be a good initial investment. Also, gun show coming up end of this month i think. Maybe good deals there.

Never owned a glock myself, but I've shot a few. Definitely can't go wrong with them. Personally I have a couple sigs and HKs. They have never failed me. ever

I got small hands so the older sigs and hks never got me. I did like the p30L and the hk45 though. But i had already invested a bunch in glocks so couldn't get myself to switch. Btw, glock mags are some of the cheapest factory mags. One reason i did not pick up an m&p 9.

2ahawaii is a good local shooting resource.

Hmm, it could be the wheel bearing, or the diff bushing like Bullaculla said. But it's hard to say. If it was the wheel bearing you should notice it at almost all speeds.

If the tires are to blame, that would explain it. You can rotate the tires side to side and see if that changes when you hear the noise, or how it sounds?

I know that isn't really helpful, but it would suck to replace the bearing (takes $$$ or hard work to replace) and then have it not fix the problem.

One thing that is hard to tell without dropping it, is either driveshaft. How many miles do you have? If the u-joints are worn out that will give you vibrations at different speeds.

The brakes are a mystery. Once a rotor warps, that's pretty much it. You can resurface it, but that won't last because you are cutting it back straight. So the internal structure is still warped and it will warp again even worse.

At Orielly's they wouldn't resurface if you had more than 0.005" runout because it will just warp again.

I'm at 42k miles on my truck. I tired on and off with the 4wd drive still sounds the same, so I can kinda check off the needle bearing for shaft. But I'm really leaning on the wheel bearing. Today I noticed when I was making like a oval turn, it made different noises from left and right. I could feel like it's the bearings.... But gonna try some stock tires tomorrow and see if the noises are still there.

My brakes on the other had. It's been cut already from my first warped rotors. So I'll have to buy some new rotors anyways

    Been all 6 years... lol

A lot of vendors, BFG, ProComp, Fox, WeatehrTech, Bedrug, Smittybilt, Mickey Thompson, Method, ARB, Dick Cepek, Bak flip, Rigid, KC, Lund, Warn, Maxxis, and a bunch of others I can't remember right now. Its a cool place to take pictures of trucks, and check out if there are any deals. But ask at the register for a price, sometimes the reps try and make retail if they can. The Bak rep told me retail $850 two years ago, the guy at the register hooked me up with a cover for $680, waved the shipping charge too. Cheaper than Amazon even after Taxes...

Inside word is SMittyBilt winches will be cheaper than ever.. Even cheaper than Amazon. They gave us a price but can't say until tomorrow.. I'll say if I was looking for a winch the SmittyBilt with the syn rope would be sweet at the price they are asking..

And despite what @bullaculla may tell you, I'm not a rep for 4wp in any way shape or form

I wouldn't write off the ujoints completely.. I know the Tacoma has the front diff disconnect but I'm pretty sure the front driveshaft still spins in 2wd, just not under power. so when the front wheels roll, they in turn spin the shaft even though it isn't engaged in the transfercase. So any vibrations from the ujoints would be the same in 2 or 4.

    Hi Mr. 4WP! :p
I thought the King resi would mount horizonatally?! That's how I have always seen them. Yours is setup like Ricks ICON. Kind of a pain when its time to grease UCA bushings.
