Looks good man, I'm not sure where you got your metal but check out Royal Metal if you haven't already.

I usually go to midpac for steel. I get a 20' stick of 1.25" schedule 40 pipe for about $45.

Damn Brandon, it's looking promising. If you need any help bro, I'd be happy to come play with you in your shop. I also wanna work up a design for a rear bumper.

those are alot easier than front bumpers (already got my plans drawn out and put into my cutting program) just hit me up when ur free one weekend.
for a front winch bumper im estimate $350 for the metal (quote from pacific steel) so a rear bumper should be significantly less

how in the hell am i gonna finangle 2 21' sticks of pipe in a shortbed truck?

I'll bring my electric impact and we can race :burnrubber:

I got my 1-5/8" .120 from midpac too. Total BS about the cutting. Only reason I ever wanted a roof rack :D

If you buy enough, it would be cheaper to rent a $29.95 trailer from the uhaul down the road for a day.. Or do they charge a flat rate, no matter how much you buy?

Hopefully I can start prototyping my bumper soon. I got my first piece of the puzzle: new (to me) upper bumper cover, so I don't have to chop mine up.

I'm going to do a prerrunnerish tube bumper, what are you doing? Plate?

If you need, I have a cordless sawsall of sorts. Can always borrow if you know you are going. Just chop em' in half and load like a yak :D

And that design looks killer! I can't post my plans since they haven't come up with a way for me to plug my brain into the computer yet...

i just put my program on my computer so im drawing up all kinds of stuff lol. the sawsall would save a bit of $, i might borrow it next run. maybe invest in one my self.
chris, if you find certain things you like about different bumpers just LMK, the possibilities are endless.
only thing is if you want things powder coated, i dont have a hook up for that yet

one of my old coworkers has a friend that does powder coating, I could ask for estimates if you know what you want done.

+1 on designing a bumper, i'm planning on doing that to pass the boredom. I like the idea of a high clearance wrap-around but not sure if i'm ready to cut the body.

Didn't have too much time yesterday since I was rushing around, but I got the install finished up. Ran it to warming temp and no leaks, now just waiting on Servco to flash my ecu. Anyone can get me in? They told me they're booked until june but I somehow got a spot for this Thursday.
