I almost got a smittybilt winch but the wife wants a Warn (don't have enough cash to buy one right now).

Ended up just picking up a tire guage/inflator and some shackle insert thingy's.

I was gonna say... winds only good for kites... or that fading south swell.

I went out and surfed solo on the outer Airport reef it was good for an hour, then the winds kicked up and it was like getting hosed in the face every time you tried to drop in and then you got blown off the wave once you got on! But man for an hour it was magic right handers!

get into stand up surfing. there's some money spots out there. if you're ever out on ewa side, there's a gem only accessible by sup (25 min paddle) or jetski... ropes like Lani's, barrels like Backdoor, and sharky as a muthaf-. solo sessions are the norm, but highly suspect since you're probably 3/4 miles out to sea.

The good spots are always across shark infested waters. :rasta:

You're telling me bro, I had my feet in that water at dusk by myself so I was a little skittish. But thanks for the heads up about Ewa, I'm actually looking at a jet ski just for that and fishing. The rights at Hickham goes good too, you can catch 300 yard rides when it's epic but it doesn't barrel though, just carves after carves though

nope, not swabbys :D I park at Nimitz though... paddle from that jetty is 25 mins on a sup. I saw one guy on a gun board once. He told me its a 45-60 min paddle lying down. On the next giant NW-WNW-W swell, drive up makakilo... you might be able to spot the break... It'll look like a point break 3/4 mile out to see. it's the unicorn of Ewa.

the break you're talking about is probably five-oh's? super fun out there too, but the WPB locals will always hit that spot when it's good.

My truck won't get jacked there or broken into? At this unicorn spot? Park at Nimitz beach?

you have experience? I can ask around for boards. In big water, I wouldn't go anything smaller than a 9'6. I usually take a 10-10'6 outside Ewa. everywhere else, my 8'2 is money :bananadance:

yeah, park there. I've heard of sketchy shit happening recently though, but it's not like that spot is on all the time. 1-2 times a year if you're lucky.

also, if you're not down with that paddle, surf swabbys. best break in Ewa, in my opinion. only place you can get legit barreled in Ewa

Shit, parking there is sketchy too in Ewa!
Yeah I surfed a 8'6" Jamie Mitchell. Looking for something with good stability and maneuverability.
