5-lug? might be a little different but it might work.

 

6 lug to 5 lug totally different. 5 lug goes to the lower control arm. 6 lug goes to the spindle. Holes for the endlink are opposite too, 90 degrees off. Not possible without changing most everything on the front end.

 

So the only option for a thicker bar for my base sr5 is to get an xrunner bar?

 

I believe so. Xii performance has one i think. I was really hoping that would fit but it didn't. I had to settle for the Hellwig one.

Get the "X" brace for the rear too...and paint it your fav color.

 

I know we have a lot of people on here that can weld, but is there anyone able to weld aluminum?

 

I got one I feel to be superior to the xbrace... I have a k brace that mounts to the same point as the shackle... I got mine from defined engineering, and its already powdercoated... I had all that in my garage for closer to a year now... I have parts but not motivation to put them on

I'm eventually going to buy the weldments to permanently install the xii rear sway... I haven't one at all currently.. I don't much care for the u bolt clamp on idea they have packaged but I do still want a sway on the axle... My materials/supply requests are typically approved pretty quick by the household budget committee but the labor to put them are is hard to come by

 

Was thinking (plus if funds are available) to get a bed rack from the All pro free shipping promo that 3 hills offroad is having. Wanting aluminum since its lighter, and if there's someone able to weld it, I can order it as a weld together and save some $ on not having them weld it for me. I actually wanted the one from KB Voodoo, since it's a bolt together and it would make it easier for me to store at my house, but it's steel, and shipping to Hawaii would be some $$ too. Maybe if someone can make one that looks like it might even be better.

 

I talked to @luka about this today. He can weld aluminum.

 

That's awesome! I'm trying to make my remote so I can start practicing my tig. I put so much effort into making my mig look like tig, it would probably be easier to just tig the damn thing

I know... I need to... I have the torch and everything I need but the clicker on the torch. When I got everything it came as a lift tig setup which still works but you have to be really good at snapping the arc out and getting gas back on the weld before it popcorns... But with the torch I got for that combined with a custom made trigger with a pot should put me in a good place to continue practicing.. I tried a handful of times and I can get a puddle and a bead but it looks shetty at the end of the weld when I went to snap the arc out of the puddle
