You can change it through the hole in the Pelfrey skid but expect a shitload of oil to be dumped on the inside of the skid. I did it once like that. Now I just remove the skid, change oil, and wipe it down. I was going to install a Fumoto valve but the last time I went offroading, my truck spent a lot of time with the truck's weight supported by the skids. After that I decided not to.

As far as cost..no idea...but RAD Motorsports (located in Waipahu) does good exhaust work and is quite a bit less than going to Exhaust Systems Hawaii..just my .02

If Deezy is taking his skids off to change his oil...he's got too much time on his hands...:p The Fumoto valve is recessed enough that it won't interfere with the skids nor be in danger of hitting anything. This pic is with the Pelfrey skid. Valve and some 3/8" ID tubing and your done with Oil change in 10 minutes. No tools required except hands...:D

Well yeah, if the only thing that touches your skid is a little weed stem from a dirt road, then yeah, won't be in danger of hitting anything. :p

The valve nipple is more than an 1 1/2" up inside from the skid surface. You would have to take a direct hit from a pointed object at the hole to get to it. Not saying that couldn't happen but unlikely. Even if you rested the weight of the truck on the skid I don't think it would flex that distance to the nipple without the plate collapsing...and then you'd be f'd no matter what...:D

Alum skid is easy peasy to drop by yourself. It's not a hard like squint is making it out to be. My two kids will be able to drop the skids by themselves soon.
