I plan to go. Not sure what time, though. Gotta look for a winch and maybe a hi-lift.

With about 3" of lift on the taco, is it better to get a 60" or 48" hi-lift?

I would get the biggest that can fit in where you want to mount it. I'm getting a 60 so i can mount it in my long bed. Gonna get a pelfreybilt mount system and mount it below the rails on the passenger side.

Island Brake and Alignment in Aiea are good for alignment, not sure about wheel swap because I didn't go to them for that. Great service, though.

Actually saw that place last week when I stopped into Lex Brodie's to get a quote on KO2s that was laughable. I'll give them a call tomorrow, if they're open, and see what they can do. Thanks!

Yeah, I checked them out before Lex's. I was quoted $1,300 there and I giggled my way out the door.

They are pretty good at getting you in for an appointment within a day or two. Fast and friendly. Also, if it's for Recon, let them know in advanced.

Nah, not for recon.. yet. I'm just swapping the stock OR tires off onto new wheels since I don't want to buy new tires yet. Probably won't go bigger tire until I get a lift and do it all at once.

Sad to see this on Maui....

    MAKAWAO, MAUI (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Two women died in a four-vehicle crash caused by a driver who allegedly ran a red light on a busy Maui highway. Friends identified victims as Traci Winegarner, 57, and Debra Wylie, 63, of Pukalani. The couple lived on Makani Road, just down the street from the crash site.

"They had just barely got in the truck, drove down the driveway, drove to the end of the street and died," said Brenda Robards, who lived next to the women.

The chain-reaction crash happened shortly before 10:30 Saturday morning on Haleakala Highway. A silver Nissan sedan was heading up the bypass when it ran a red light and broadsided a white Toyota truck making a left turn onto the highway from Makani Road, according to police. Investigators said the Nissan then crossed the centerline and struck a vehicle stopped in traffic. The impact sent that vehicle into the one stopped behind it.

For those that have your Kaena Point Permit, do you receive the weekly code by email or text? Can you go to the website to get it? I have it but I realize that I don't get the notifications from DLNR. Mahaloz

    Hey John,
I think they stopped sending out the code via email or text. You now have to go to the site and login to get the code.
