How many miles on the truck? Honestly, id only worry about it alittle. You don't use those axles unless playing in 4x4. You could hold out until you replace it rather than rigging it to last an extra session or two.

 

I guess that's true. If you are not using 4wd, and plan on replacing it anyway, it won't hurt to kill the CV.

 

Are we talking about CV boots? I've gone through 6 boots

they will tear with lifts. it's an inevitability because of CV angle

you're fine running them torn for awhile though

 

yeah thats what i figured... i think maybe tuesday or wednesday im going to take out the spacer on my passenger coilover and run it without till that side starts to sag....

Anyone know if I was to put nitto trail grapplers on the sport rims would they scrape without a lift?
Also went to servco for my oil change and the parts guy said they don't make a trd cai for 12 and 13 does the 11 trd cai fit the same?

 

no yeah it wont fit. gotta go with another aftermarket company for a CAI. They moved the ABS module so its in the way of the mounting box. the second gen TRD might fit kuz its skinnier but im not 100%

Thanks phill I almost bought one on trdparts4u I think that's the website that said it had a 12 cai I was thinking about maybe getting the trd exhaust since its almost the same price online before shipping but can't decide now between the trd and a aftermarket duals. saw a 12 or 13 today in traffic with duals and it sounded nice and got me thinking duals now lol

The big summit, little summit and supermoto are brushless. The three little things are brushless losi micro 4x4s. I also have their micro track.

 

Got a HPI Savage X SS 4.6 Nitro Monster Truck. Have not run it for a few years need to replace clutch.

 

I went with the AFE stage 2. They designed the first gen trd CAI
