I cannot tig

 

you already have a machine and gas...just might need a second bottle for purging

its fun when you figure it out, but getting to the fun part is a lot of frustration

 

I know what purging is. Can purge off the same bottle if you have a manifold. But also need a good tuning bender. And I don't have pure argon.

 

I have one that i've been cleaning up, standard hydraulic foot pedal pump with a set of common size dies from 1" to 3 or so...but it's more for long pipe bending

if you get pre-bent pieces you could probably do the whole thing

 

I'm not gonna buy another bottle of gas and all kinds of crap. I'm just gonna drop off the truck at an exhaust shop and pay them to do it.

 

I have gas but it's C25 for steel. I also have pure Ar for Tig, but I couldn't get it mastered... I've tried playing with it, watched a bunch of videos... I haven't given up, but I'm still practicing...

 

I have pure Ar if you need... I have the bottle line and regulator...
Also have a miller multimatic 200 with Tig torch and tungsten....
Will trade tool and supply usage for Tig lessons

 

I have 3 process Tweco 181i, and I can (kinda) tig, but you don't want lessons from me. Better to ask Mr everything is easy.

Yea my multimatic can TIG, MIG, Stick, and spool... I just can't get the hang of Tig... That shit is frustrating lol

 

No, I don't haz all teh certs.

 

Mine doesn't currently have the foot pedal or any other remote current control... I have to snap out of the puddle, and every time I do the last little bit popcorns up from not being shielded

i've found learning stick first will put you in the right direction with the best learning curve for learning control.

try and see if your millermatic supports the wireless foot pedal...that shit is bananas

 

It has a connector, 6 pin, and I have the adapter from 14 to 6 pin... So if the wireless remote is 6 or 14 pin it should work... I bought the adapter intent to make my own switch and harness... All I really wanted was a button to shut off the contractor... That way I can stop the arc without stopping the gas... The postflow is predetermined by the machine but I don't need that. My tig torch has its own gas inlet so I only need control of the current and contractor to be all set... I can stick weld decent if it's horizontal. I'm sure I can get it when I dedicate time to go outside and burn some wire on some scrap...

 

I looked at the price of a wireless setup... That price alone is bananas!

 

yup...the old tig machine at work might have killed over...hopefully can replace it with a dynasty700 with the wireless peddle...had one of those in the sandbox, was handling 1/4 aluminum box tubing no problem...actually had to wear my leather jacket and double glove for all those amps

 

i have no idea what you guys are talking about, so i decided to google "Dynasty700" and holy fuck, $14,890!
