Nate... The only thing I don't like about a large group romping around Kaena point is it sets a bad presedence for the environment out there. Staying on the marked trails is one thing, but bogging through the middle parts is kinda taboo these days. I would hate to have someone flag a large group of Toyota trucks romping around the point. Peacock flats is better for that kind of action as it's out of sight and allowed there. Kaena point is being monitored a lot more these days.

Yea... I would definitely love to get the 4R in one of your awesome videos, but as Rick mentioned, I would be out... YouTube videos of Tacomas and 4Rs going places we "shouldn't" be going gives all of us bad raps... no matter what group or affliliation....

Fully understood but last time I went to Kaena there were plenty good hills and ruts that were part of the authorized area. My vision for the video is to be a cinematic approach of capable rigs driven by professional guys having fun & enjoying the amazing scenery/nature. Not like the 1st Eastside video I shared where they're fully destroying their rigs and the trails. I understand if you guys don't want to go but I honestly don't mind utilizing one of the only locations left on this island that is legal and easily accessible to "tread lightly".

I love Kaena point for its beauty and that its an easier place to exercise the 4x4 system than Peacock. If my truck is back on the ground in time, I wouldn't mind a small easy trip through there to make sure the SAS is working well before taking it up to peacock. But large groups draw too much attention, and as soon as some trucks roll up in there, people are already assuming we would be going there to go tear it up.
And even tho the trails at peacock flats are tougher, I notice that the people in our group are still taking it pretty easy and trying not to tear up the trails too much. In comparison to videos of some other groups I have seen up there and at Kaena.
Like I said to you on the phone before, We really need some defunct pineapple land that we can really tear up and have fun without any guilt of tearing up the aina. Like what that tried at Sand Island, but on a larger scale than the sand box with an entry fee and maybe some signing of waivers. Gotta make it happen to reduce the illegal off roading...
Just like the racetrack and street racing.

In the spirit of inclusiveness... I propose a video shoot at the new Mall in Kapolei... Ka Makana Alii sounds super Hawaiian, and I hear they get crazy speed bumps..

That just gets rid of the end of the mount. I think most rub at the front of the circle.
