    did the foglight anytime mod on my 08. so far so good. passed on the BHLM. but they do look pretty sick on those 2012/13 headlights. angry looking

    The only time I have heard of any one getting a hard time was when they painted the turn signal reflector bowl also. But I have seen plenty of people driving around with them.

    It's gunna be illegal no matter where you go. you are altering a DOT approved light, so when you take it apart and paint stuff it is no longer DOT approved. That's what I have come to understand but haven't had any problems. I've done about 3 of them with good results. If anyone needs a hand I can help out while im over there!

    But don't they sell after market black head lights similar to bhlm? or are those not DOT approved? I would love to take you up on the offer when u get down here..

    They are dot approved! Our lights stock are dot approved, but when we alter them from their dot approved form they are no longer approved. If that makes any sense at all!

    nope... no sense at all.... hahah... stock lights with bhlm are way better than after market bhl's... my girl's sister has the after market ones and they're fogging and always crapping out.. power trips i tell you.. recon, registration, safety checks... there all forms of some sort of power trip!! Y can't we mod our trucks like they do in the country!?

    Losing the DOT approval when you open up the lights is like losing the warranty on your xbox if you break the seal. Even if you don't do anything, you loos it just by messing with it.

    bro if you're debating if you want to do the mod or not, you might as well do it. majority of the vehicles out there is running something illegal. just don't over do it to where it attracts the popos.
