Lots of people have, but it's really time consuming to do it all correctly the first time. Thats the reason that guys charge so much. You have to pay to play, either way.

I don't know how the guys with slammed cars and low pro tires do it. I don't think I could go back to that, maybe I'm just old, lol

Yup, and I personally wouldn't do someone else's retrofit even if they paid me. There's too many things that can go wrong, so it's better to do it yourself or have a retrofit company do it so it'll be warranty'd. After you do it yourself, you understand why they are so expensive.

Did it when I was younger and every bump was like a jarring blow to my back. I said forget this and have had trucks since I was like 21.

I did it once for around $600, can't remember. That was for my used retrofits, swapping lenses, bhlm bezels, and fully installed/wired into the truck. Wasn't worth it, never again. Plus, all it takes is a little dust, fingerprint, glue smudge, melted plastic, or condensation to ruin it all.

Personally I like the stock halogens better. With retrofits I couldn't see things above the cutoff well. Street signs, etc.

Right, and then you have the guy that paid you to do it, nagging your ear off to fix things if they go wrong. Not saying that happened to you, but I could see it happening. So your $600 job will turn into a lifetime warranty and endless hours of fixing issues.

I bought this set. For the 12-15 taco. Never installed it. I'm thinking about selling it. Taking up too much space.
