Got new wheels and tires. Stoked on the tires and look. I am getting some minor rubbing full lock. They are rubbing on the mud flaps and the shroud on the inside of the wheel well. I have 1.25” spacers and tires are 265/70r17. Any thoughts? Are the spacers causing the rubbing? Was thinking about using a heat gun to manipulate the plastic.New Shoes.jpg Rim and Tire.jpg

could be your alignment, wheel offset, and/or lift.

the front flaps do stick into the wheel well a noticable amount

I just had an alignment done a couple of months back after I put the lift on and it was all in spec. I havnt done anything with the suspension since the alignment. It drives straight (no pulling). Could my alignment gone out of whack in a couple of months time?

He's right, @kalaukoa .. front flaps need to come off (not a recon or safety item, so no worries). You should be fine after an alignment, or its the offset with the spacers and you can try using some heat and love to push in the part of your liner that is getting rubbed.

You were in spec with different tires and weren't rubbing, so they likely just stopped because it was all cherry. If you kept the same tire size, it may just be that you're diameter is a hair larger and enough to rub now.

if you changed tire sizes and rim offset, sometimes you have to change your alignment to an "out-of-stock" setting to maintain the stock drive-ability.

Could it be the spacers? The new rims are 17" vs the 16" that was on there previously. Also went up one size tire.

Yea you’re going to need an alignment. You’re in spec for what was on there before. At least that’s what I have been told.
